He's owned the role too thoroughly to really hand it off. Giving it to someone else would lack his precision delivery skills. Hopefully they can animate accordingly.

Turns out voicing animation is much easier to schedule and budget and takes far less prep on the actor's part than live action.

I just hope they dont do the cheating death trope you see in comics so often.

I don't mind cheating death at all, but you need to gain more from it than you lose from the emotional impact of their death. MCU hasn't really done that well, though Endgame had a couple good examples.

Before that it was just "go to studio, say lines for half an hour, go home with big bag of money."

The biggest crime of Iron Man 3 by far. I had no problem with the twist but turning the mandarin into a fireball chucking villain sucked ass.
