How is it now? I havent played in almost a year and a half.

All I heard was they added obi and anakin.

Any major updates to gameplay? Or is it still really pay to win?

Christmas gets me in a Star Wars mood so I may hop on again.

This. The game is still good, the new mode capital supremacy is nice. The new maps are cool. It's still shallow as a puddle though. Not enough weapons for the classes imo.

I can't remember the maps, I haven't played in a few weeks. Capital Supremacy is like conquest mode in Battlefield, only once a team outscores the others (or captures all the points), then the game switches to an assault on the enemy teams flagship. If they can defend against a set number of spawns of attackers, then the map shifts back to the world and conquest style. Rinse repeat until the time limit runs out or one team wins. It's pretty nice.

It finally feels like a full fledged objective-based shooter somewhat on par with the original BF2 tbph.

Co-op mode (4 v AI army) is the easiest and most fun way to grind and level up characters, unlock skins, unlock weapon attachments, and play as heroes. Capital Supremacy is hours upon hours of fun although it's limited to just Clone Wars-era units and locations. There may be a chance of OT and ST content coming out still.Only gripes I have are that there's no actual ground to space transitioning for CS despite map phase changes and lightsaber "combat" is still a mindless hack n slash thing.

I never spent a single dime on microtransactions and loot boxes btw

outside the microtransactions my biggest beef was most of the matches seemed real short and unbalanced, one side always seemed to steam roll the other. anything done with that?

This...sounds very heavily like Titan mode from BF2142, but improved. If so, that's awesome!

IIRC, now the microtransactions are cosmetic only. It isn't pay to win.

There are no ways to spend money to get anything faster, period. It was literally taken out of the game when it launched. There has never been a scenario in which you can do this.

Installed it over night

It put me in a menu and said 19% installed and told me to play arcade mode until full game is installed

Yeah, you need to have the PS4 on to have the disc install. I assume you turned it on rest mode and thus it did not actually install.

That's the way it is for some games. Do you use your PS4 much? Not trolling, just because it might say "game is ready for use!" but still be installing / copying over to the harddrive as well.
