For me, it's probably that one time when I broke my wrist playing soccer in gym class in high school. I was the goalie, and this guy who's played soccer his whole life fires this fucking cannonball-like shot at me. I managed to block it, but my hand pretty much went limp immediately afterwards. A trip to the hospital revealed that I actually broke it.

trying to hardflip off a 3 or 4 foot ledge. came down directly on the side of my ankle and just completely fucked it. this was on like day 2 of a 7 day trip to Alaska

otherwise a concussion, a broken wrist, or a thing that eventually required jaw surgery cause the aftermath of that surgery sucked.

I slipped on black ice and my humerus just kinda slid out the socket and into my back. Couldn't move it, so I just kinda pulled it back into place, felt fine, went to bed. When I woke up it is the worst fucking thing, ugh.

shot in the eye with a bb gun. my brother did it on accident. that did the most damage.

i peeled the top of my foot playing football on broken clay drainage pipe. i didnt even feel it a friend pointed it out to me and it was like a cartoon squirting blood. about 60 stitches. that was pretty gross.

Hurt my knee, couldn't hold weight on it reliably for a week or so. It'd just buckle unexpectedly.

Slipped on a metal roof wiring an air handler. Obviously landed wrong, it was fine the rest of the day but fell getting out of bed next morning.

No issues anymore, seems to be fine, but it was definitely scary.

Had a concussion from hockey, that sucked too

Had my intestines crushed and severed in a car wreck. Was 9 and in the back middle seat with just the seatbelt that goes across your lap. We hit with such force that I was flung forward and the belt caught me across the lower abdomen. It impacted so hard that it hit my spine and severed the intestines between. Obviously had nerve/muscle damage too, but that was secondary.

I don't know why, but the doctors didn't treat me then. They sent me home, but the pain was horrific. Couldn't eat or drink, constant vomiting which caused muscle tension and was agonizing. Had several repeated trips to the hospital just to be shrugged off as well. Eventually they determined that there must be an unknown injury since my health was deteriorating so rapidly at that point(a week later). They did exploratory surgery and saw the extent of the damage and rushed me immediately into emergency surgery.

Turns out I had gangrene from all the dead tissue inside. They cut a bunch out and I mostly recovered. Still have nerve and back issues, along with some issues with the scarring on my guts occasionally twisting and pinching up. Hurts so bad.

Friends were goofing around at school one day during lunch. One pushed the other just enough and I happened to be standing behind the one that was pushed. He bumped into me. I wasn't paying much attention in that direction at the time. Did a full turn with my weight on my right leg. Shattered my ankle. This was grade 10 I think so I would have been 15.

Oh but it didn't end there. My mom was at work and had the van. Even though we literally lived across the road they couldn't get ahold of my dad so a neighbor I knew was called. At this point I'm laying on the bed in the nurse's room. They need to get me out to his truck and to our local clinic (I live in a rural area). I get there, he grabs a wheelchair, and I see a doctor. Leg is really swollen from ankle to knee, and they can't do x-rays there. So I'm driven home where I sit outside waiting for my mom to get home. Once she's back and I get loaded into the van it's 35min to the nearest hospital. X-rays are done and 5 doctors, yes FIVE couldn't make heads or tails of what they were looking at. Two rookies came by and knew exactly what was wrong but weren't listened to. So I have to go back home, get into bed, and back in the van early in the morning to drive about 65min to the ferry terminal and get to a city hospital. Note that I have nothing on my leg at this point so moving about was a massive literal pain.

Got to the hospital the next morning. They start prepping me, needles, x-rays looked over, and placed into a room. 3:30pm that afternoon I get wheeled in for surgery, roughly 27 hours after the break occurred. Now I have a plate and screws in my leg.

Running and hitting my pinky toe on edge of the couch. It was broken, I believe. Either or severely bruised.

Really messed up my sciatic nerve during deadlifts once. Couldn't stand upright for two weeks.

Cut my hand a tiny bit washing a cracked glass that suddenly broke. Put a bandaid on it and it was fine.

Or actually I think smashing my finger in a door and the nail almost coming off was worse. Nail reattached to the bed after a few days of holding it in place.

Was hit by a car while cycling. Turned out the driver didn't even have a license... Didn't break any bones but couldn't walk properly for about a week.
