i see these things marketed constantly as the next big thing, every other TV commercial is someone talking to their Alexa to do stuff, etc.

but in practice everyone i know who has an Alexa or Google Home or w/e barely uses it, they either just use it as a bluetooth speaker for music or they bought it for the novelty and it collects dust.

does anyone on here have these & actually do cool shit with them ?

I use it to turn on the lights, and occasionally I set a reminder for myself to do something or other.

I use ours for lights, timers when Im cooking, music, weather and to control our eco bee.

Nah, I legit don't want that thing in my house listening to everything I do >_> I'll just use my smartphone instead
