As a kid that song gave me anxiety. Falling through the cracks near the end of stage 2 and knowing you're gonna drown but still having to wait for it was traumatizing.

Bass was always mvp on this track, it even has parts you can tell are supposed to be slaps on a bass guitar

I used to dislike Chemical Plant. Found it boring and highly overrated... like to the point where it annoyed me when people praised it so much. Granted, I had only played the game on an old-ass mono TV with shit sound. When I actually put on headphones and listened to a decent version of it, I was like "whoa this is actually awesome. Why did I not like this before?" Then generations versions (especially modern) are even better too.
