I really wanna go to Starbucks tomorrow and study but I dont feel like lugging all my stuff around and waiting on my order. Is it weird to order on the app from in the store?

I have social anxiety and dont want to seem like a wacko :x

Just order it when you're about two minutes away so it's there when you get there and you can pick it up.

I order in store with app all the time. Primarily because the damn deals require it but whatever.

I dont socialize like at all but I like the atmosphere of coffee shops... libraries... campus study areas and so on

I dont understand how you think it makes sense to assume dog people inherently have no empathy when you also feel this way.

I identify with this to a degree and i feel like it should explain exactly why some people
prefer the company of animals.

Yeah that is definitely a good idea. I have anxiety too but it is weird with me. Going into a place and ordering and waiting is no big deal at all for me. In fact I handle it really well. I think having a specific thing to do really helps... it's like I'm on a mission as opposed to just being out in public randomly and aimlessly. I guess also the self-awareness I have of my poker face kinda makes it that much better. The anxiety of thinking others can see your anxiety on you perpetuates itself -_- so like when I know I'm just another random face in the crowd, I can just be that and not really even think about it let alone worry about it. I don't go to starbucks but when it comes to picking up dinner from wherever on my way home, I either just go in and wait (some places are really quick) or I call ahead if they aren't known for being really quick. Using an ordering app in the place would be weird though so yeah, BrutaI has the right idea here.

Yeah... I agree actually. I get super anxious in public because i just feel like people can pick up on my anxiety somehow. it's a terrible feeling. plus i don't really get anything out of interacting with strangers and i don't have friends so i tend to stay in unless i'm studying lol

i always feel awkward when I order Popeyes through the app because sometimes they put it out so fast that you basically have to go up and ask if they called your order. One time, in the midst of the chicken sandwich rush, I ordered 2 sandwiches, walked 5 minutes to the popeyes and waited 10-15 minutes only for them to say "Oh we had already called your name" after they called out earlier order numbers(they called order number 14, i was 18 so i assumed they didn't do it yet, and when i asked they said they were on 14 in a rather rude way, so really who is at fault here)
