With that said, the game is definitely dope and a lot larger than I anticipated. It's certainly my favorite Star Wars game in a long time, granted, that's a pretty low bar.

Eh. Jedi Academy's gameplay doesn't hold up nearly as well nowadays and the story for that was always bad.

KotOR was good. I should probably play that again one day.

Man, I've been playing this game all day. I really like how it rewards you for backtracking and exploration.

I found the Darth Maul double lightsaber after I got new powers and decided to go back to the first planet to go through paths I initially couldn't do.

Not as liberally as you can in The Force Unleashed. But you can chain moves together to do interesting stuff.

My preferred way to deal with tough enemies is freezing them, then pushing them off a cliff.

There is a Force Pull. I haven't gotten far enough in the game to unlock it, but it's definitely in. By the looks of it, you have the option to either stab somebody or push them away in any direction after pulling them.

nice to see my expectations exceeded when it comes to a game like jedi fallen order.

i think i can hold off on buying it for some time perhaps goty edition or something. its on the top of my wishlist.

like hope modding kits for community workshops. get some crossguard action or force unleashed powers.

It's not the best Star Wars game but it's the best in almost 15 years for sure

Story isn't half bad either. I'm not very knowledgeable on Star Wars stuff outside of the movies (like the cartoons, books and comics, etc.), so there are probably tons of names and references that I'mdor sure missing.

But there have been some interesting revelations going on in the story that got me pretty invested.

It's fantastic, a lot better than I expected. The main character does have good personality, and has a good relationship with his droid throughout, as there is your normal comic relief, super likable droid in this game.

I'm not going to entertain the dumb "can't cut off limbs" complaint because that is beyond exhausted, and creatures and whatnot in-game can be cut in half, decapitated, etc. It's not important to the gameplay at all.

It's more of a modern Tomb Raider than Souls game for me, but I see the influences there for sure. Anyone who played the Force Unleased games and felt like it was lacking something will likely find this game satisfying enough.

I liked Force Unleashed. Any game that allowed you to "throw" a Star Destroyer in to a planet, bitch slap Vader, and show the Emperor what's what, can't be all bad.

When you first get to Kashyyk, you get to drive an AT-AT walker and blast fools with it. Now THAT was a fun set piece moment.

I was watching my girlfriend's brother play it for a minute and it looks okay. The AI is incredibly dumb. He fell off a staircase mid combat maybe 4 feet and the stormtroopers were audibly said "guess he's gone" or something like that then he was able to go back up and sneak attack them lol

Some of the physics stuff looks cool. I'll get it on a sale.
