It could be an opinion on a major issue, a preference, etc.

Like for example I used to want kids when I was younger, because I was taught that's what I should want. I'm over 30 and these days I don't even think I want kids

I used to think that when I got married I would really want my wife to take my last name. These days it's not important to me, as I was never really close with my Father's side of the family so I don't have a lot of pride in my last name. And I've always known my fianc as she is with her current last name, that's who she is. She's just as unsure as I am on if she wants to take my last name or not.

I always figured I wanted to be buried in a cemetery when I die, because I guess that is what was normal for me. But these days I feel like cremation is the most practical

Religious views

As a kid I was never a fan of going to church but I believed with no doubt in god

These days I am agnostic but increasingly leaning toward no god. Or at least not one that cares

Same. As a kid I went through different religious phases. Like I even stopped listening to the radio because at some point it got in my head that music generally was bad because it was rebelling against God or something.

I was young, and over the years I kinda realized that I "believed" out of habit and fear.

These days I don't really hold a belief in a god

Hmm, that's a good question, but nothing has changed for me fundamentally.

When I was younger, I was super empathetic and open to everyone's problems. It's kinda weird, but as a very young child, I remember thinking of the other kids "I can see why their parents love them," even if I personally didn't care for them.

Anyway, my whole attitude was that you should always be willing to engage when someone brings you a problem, if for no other reason than they may have come to you as a last resort and if you don't help them they may hurt themselves. It always seemed rational to me, and my friends felt comfortable with talking to me about personal things through high school years.

And I tried to carry that attitude further in life, but I slowly realized how little other people cared about problems outside of themselves, and their came plenty a time when my own concerns were shrugged off and ignored. I still care for everyone on principle, but knowing how little they care has made it very hard for me, and it's caused me to close myself off.

"I like everyone until I get to know them."
