You are the last person on earth, and somehow, you are left with one of the following four pieces of entertainment:

-Every music that has ever been put on CD, and a CD Player to listen to it (with unlimited electricity for only the CD player)
-Every book ever published
-Every video game ever published and a console to play each game which won't ever fail
-Every movie ever released, on DVD format, with a working DVD player and a 40" TV to watch it on, neither of which will never fail

Whichever form you are preferring, you must assume that the other three are unavailable to you. So if you get movies, all the books have been scorched in the world, video game consoles don't work, etc.

Which would you prefer/choose if you had the choice?

Music

Video games.

You can get games with novelesque stories, games with good music, games with movie like exposition, and good old brain melting no thought games.

The human race is screwed, so might as well game it up and eat the world's supply of Funyuns.

books, probably, even though I haven't read in a while.

they're light & mobile, and demand more of my attention than any other forms of media.

I'd probably miss music the most out of the options that I didn't choose...would we still be able to sing, whistle, snap our fingers, etc.?

Sure. But you have no way of ever listening to music again unless you were creating it with an instrument or your body, but can't record it. All of your memories are still intact though and you can still do the things you mentioned

Rhythm game still work that have licensed music?

Well i'm not exactly going to be able to maintain the power grid so everything besides books will be useless

Gee, I wonder what people who inhabit a (dying (internet)) gaming forum would choose.

Without weighing for preference, games are the best choice. The DS had some novelty acts in the lineup, including 100+ classic novels and a dictionary (the infamous Touch Dic), and several music emulators.

Games get to have tunes and lit and art in them.

If you choose video games, all original game music including licensed music included in games (like Just Dance), are included. This is a pretty good workaround I suppose. Same goes for Movies- all the music in certain movies would appear as they originally appeared in movies, nothing edited out or anything

Movies and video games have music, so they're both 2-in-ones. But I'm not a gamer, and lots of movies are based on books, making them 3-in-ones in this scenario. So I went with them.

Being the last person would be so demanding that you'd have barely any time for active entertainment, so music it is.
