You almost never see a drag queen that isn't feeling herself and acting like a force. You ever see a drag queen accept a compliment? They're already like "I know it, baby" before the person even finishes the sentence.

I been finding my confidence more lately but that shit is next level. I feel like Id be intimidated by their confidence in person.

Is it really confidence to just insist positive things about yourself though?

I'm quite fat, would it really be "confidence" if I went around saying "hell yeah, I know I'm fine as fuck".

I guess I'm asking:
"Can you really be confident when declaring a untrue statement?"

Yes?

And since beauty is in the eye of the beholder, it's not factually true or false. It's just not the popular standard. Feeling like you're beautiful is more than half the battle.

Disagree with that, but even putting that aside. Let's move towards something even more objective:

If you are short can you be "confident" in talking about how you are tall?

XD. That's good shit. He's not wrong. Part of the confidence is usually some rudeness. But I always liked that playful type of mean. Cause it's not like they don't also shade themselves. Hell, most the things they flaunt are things that most women would be insecure about. And that's part of why it's so damn admirable

You mean, like everyone else on the planet? Taking that into account changes nothing for me.

Oh, you're just trying to be rude by implying you can't be something that you're not born as >_>. Not productive

???

I'm not trying to be rude. You aren't tall if you are short though.

I was saying is it ok to be confident of something that is untrue, I used myself as a fat person being confident in my "fineness" as an example and the idea that fat people can't be attractive like that was rejected. So I reframed it as "what if a short person was confident in their tallness" which you characterized as me being rude.

So I went on to clarify that short people aren't tall though. At this point I don't think we are understanding each other because you suggested that that has nothing to do with the discussion at hand.

I mean, the entire point of drag queens is they're playing a character. That's always been true.
But a "reality" show is very likely hyperbolizing character traits they think will be better for ratings.
