Never. My father was in the navy for 21 years and my younger brother is currently active in the air force.

I worked for the Army Corps of Engineers, but wasn't actually in the Army.

My grandfather was a Marine and his brother was in the Army, I had one uncle who was in the Navy and the other was Air Force, and my spouse was Navy.

No and I've never considered it. Some people can do very well in the military, some simply aren't suited for it.

Only that it didn't last longer. I wanted to be a lifer but some things just don't work out the way you want.

I'm a Navy brat (Dad was in the Navy for 23 years), but I never was in shape for the military, nor was I interested in joining - while Dad was in the Navy, it meant having to relocate every so often. By the time I was 10, I had more than enough of moving and wanted to stay put.
