Little Mermaid, Mulan and Aladdin were fun soundtracks. Beauty and the Beast was nice. Pocahontas had quite some ommph to it as well, but The Lion King just had that darker edge at times which was more dramatic - plus there's no way that the opening is going to be outdone by any other on the list. As a kid seeing and hearing that in a cinema you knew you were in for something special.

BatB, easily. Every little note of that movie (even outside of the dedicated musical numbers) touches me. What helped cement this for me was when I learned that they liked the dummy lyrics for 'Gaston' so much that they just kept them in the final product.
