A 23-year-old man has been charged with first-degree assault in the beating of a 75-year-old man who had asked that the man and his friends keep their voices down on the bus, according to Hennepin County Attorney Mike Freeman.

Davis-Miles and one of his companions shook hands in a congratulatory manner, according to the release, and then several of them rummaged through the unconcious man's pockets. The complaint states police used facial recognition software to put a name to the person seen in the video. Once Davis-Miles was identified, a search warrant was obtained and he was arrested at his residence.

Glad police departments aren't backing down to the facial recognition outrage and are using technology to get shitbags like that guy off the streets.

I hope the old man recovers, and the criminal doesnt have an opportunity to assault anyone else on the street.
