The unfortunate part about responding with violence is that nothing tends to change, it just stops the specific incident.

But you know, sometimes that's all you really need in the moment, and it's called a last resort for a reason. I don't know anything about what's happened before this, so I can't tell that kid it wasn't a last resort kind of situation.

unfortunately the slap didn't educate that kid, BUT he will likely never disrespect the gay kid to his face anymore... which is probably the point.

that other kid will likely talk shit behind his back, still. and that's fine. as sad as it still is, it's acceptable. but to his face? nope! and that's a good enough change, lol.

we live in a society where people need consequences because not everybody will stop themselves. people really need the threat of violence, jail, fines and other punishments just to find less incentive to harass others.

we have weird ass laws because people do weird ass things, lol. we probably wouldn't need actual laws for bestiality if it didn't become a "thing" for people, lolololol.

The junior at LaPorte High School in Indiana says that he's been enduring homophobic bullying since he came out in seventh grade, from hateful slurs to food thrown at him in the cafeteria. When, according to Steffy, a classmate posted a homophobic message on Snapchat using a photo of him, it was the last straw.

"He made an anti-gay post with a picture of me on it saying how he hated gays and a bunch of throwing up emojis all over it," Steffy told Insider. "I walked up to him and said 'Why did you post this?' He said 'It was just a post.' And I said 'Well, it's not just a post. It's a post about me, saying how you dislike who I am, and I don't appreciate that.' He went on to say 'Okay, but what are you going to do about it?'
