Absolutely not. There has been things admittedly really bad done in the name of religion, but both Christianity and Islam have both allowed for some very good advancements in our society. Christianity's focus on travel in it's early days enabled the building of roads and travel infrastructure that let science and medicine flourish. Islam helped form the basis of our modern mathematics.

The worst genocide in history was the Holocaust and it had plenty to do with religion.

That being said, religion has done more good than bad when talking about the history of mankind. Presently, it does a lot more bad than good.
