In Kingdom Hearts 2 he was so smart and so totally not a chump who couldn't tell who the bad guys are even though the audience knows and is banging their heads at how clueless the protagonists are.

Then they made him go all "you have to obey destiny" at the end which felt out of character.

You'd have to be able to take KH3 seriously for it to ruin anything and I dont see how you could. Even within the KH franchise the game was just braindead.

2 is literally the start of Sora murdering everyone in his way without any regard for the plot.

This^ he was a incompetent moron of the highest caliber in KH3. In the previous titles his friends had nothing but admiration and respect for him, now hes the butt of all their jokes.

As for the worlds they were literally just filler for Sora to power up and reobtain the power of waking. Although my biggest issue was that suddenly keyblade can break? And Mickey was made a complete jobber.

Which he didn't even make any progress in doing until after the Disney worlds were all completed and the power was suddenly "inside of him all along."

Kh1 was the only game where he had more than 1 emotion.

Remember when he and donald were pissed at each other for like multiple worlds?

Then from 2 on, he is a generic "aw gee guys, the world is one fire and my girl just got kidnapped...well she's probably ok let's use our hearts to save the world!"

Tbf, that was partly because of Roxas' anger towards the Org seeping thru into Sora.

But yeah, it was super prejudicial.

kh3 set a new low for storytelling and character development in gaming. i mean i knew it was going to be bad but i didnt think it was going to be -this- bad. and it was always bad.
