In mere hours, his legacy - which he has built for decades, with its own mythos of a reclaimed glory story surround MGS2 - will utterly collapse as his army of nuboomer sheep play the world's most expensive, convoluted walking simulator. They will have an epiphany that will shake Hideo Kojima's empire of lemons to its rotten core.

It's all over. Kojima could have dipped under the sunset as a martyr for Konami. Instead, he has merely exposed that Konami was justified in their ousting and that he was the true source of MGSV's failure and that he, in fact, needed a leash to even produce the wrongly-praised successes he achieved.

Has this ever happened? Has one man's legacy of good will truly been completely destroyed in one swift motion as his failings are shown to the whole world?

What really made me depressed today is learning about the remastered MGS3 cutscenes that are in those Konami pachinko gambling machines in Japan, that were almost certainly made for a now-scrapped MGS3 remake.

I'm still not really sure what to think of Death Stranding. Like, I'm really interested in wanting to see the story because I've always loved Kojima stories despite how long-winded and weird they got, and I don't just want to watch someone else's playthrough, but on the other hand...that gameplay, man.

Game is great so far. It's like BotW traversing on steroids. The tone is so fucking ominous too about 4 hours in so I know I havent scratched the surface.

And here you touch on one of Kojima's trademark weaknesses-- you'll never scratch any surface. You'll skip over the surface until Kojima grabs you by the collar and facefucks you with cutscenes that overexplain things that should have been made clear with diegesis, like he thinks you have a 70 IQ and can't figure anything out through normal storytelling.

Im on the fence with getting it. One one hand you play as Norman reedus but on the other hand its about Norman reedus transporting a fetus in a briefcase

It is pretty funny that the game is getting canned by some review sites before the game releases and people are buying into the reviews instead of playing it themselves or waiting till it releases to see more videos.

Kojima reminds me of the guy who made mighty no.9 who was responsible for megaman. This only thing he can hope for now is that Konomi doeasnt, and cant create a great MGS game without him.

I'm more reminded of Motomu Toriyama. The guy who made X-2, The Lightning Saga, and The 3rd Birthday. To me he is a prime example of why you don't give certain people lots of creative freedom.

Kojima at least had the decency not to announce tv show adaptations and spin off games before Death Stranding was playable >_>
