should i go to the doctor or it will subside in time? just happened today. i always sleep on my side, but today when i toss around on my bed, the movement seem to continue on after i stop moving. after that i realized it only happens from my right side.

I get that exact stuff too. It doesn't bother me tho. It just numbs my brain for a second while I try to recalibrate my position. It's not disruptive enough to worry me

If I remember correctly its usually a diagnosis in the older population so its probably not BPPV. I can pull up some uptodate pages on it and tel you what I find. Its a little busy right now but just give me some time.

I get this when I lie on my back in the bench press position. It's been consistent for years and now I just have to avoid that position, or I could potentially be fucked up for days.

That sounds like BPPV but you should go to a doctor to have it evaluated

I had this for a few months. Doctor sent me to a specialist who said it was a form of vertigo caused by a virus attacking the inner ear on one side. The exercises did nothing for me because they are meant to break up crystals. I imagine it would be hell tonight if i didnt manage to get it settled. Imagine trying to sleep but you cant because you can feel the whole planet's rotation in your head So fucking glad that epley manuever worked. --- http://i.imgtc.com/iJyp6bF.png http://i.imgtc.com/ZBw36Qh.png Thanks for the peeps that made the pics <3 if i make typos it means i am on phone ... Have you visit the doctors? No, I do have a hole in my eardrum, and doctors have said that could be contributing. They could try surgery to fix the hole, but it's expensive and I've heard a lot of stories of it not doing anything and the holes just opening back up. So I just avoid the position. @DarkRoast am i being dumb --- "Or do you want to know more about my vagina?" *LIE* "No" ... Copied to Clipboard!

They could try surgery to fix the hole, but it's expensive and I've heard a lot of stories of it not doing anything and the holes just opening back up. So I just avoid the position. BPPV is caused by a dislodged "otolith" in a fluid filled canal called the labyrinth. It works almost identically to a gyroscope. Those otoliths are attached to hair that flow with the fluid either horizontally or vertically to tell your body your orientation in 3D space. If one dislodged, movement that causes that ear's otolith to float around will trigger vertigo. Hope that helps. Usually it gets better with time. Usually. Be sure to see a doctor about it to make sure it's nothing more serious. --- Well allons-y, Alonso! ... Copied to Clipboard!

I guess I don't get the same thing. Yours sounds way more severe. I assumed it was just a few seconds at a time.
