FuneralFroth 11/07/19 7:46:30 PM #1:	Apparently she overdosed on heroin two nights ago and my tia and her brother found her the yesterday morning. Her dad is muslim and they dont want a funeral. They are burying the body immediately and doing a cleanse or something idk all the details of that unfortunately this is what my sister just told me over the phone. We all (not immediate family) just found out. They are going to Houston tomorrow to put flowers on her grave and told me not to worry about taking work off. I feel awful. Fuck man this is so fucked up. I had no idea she was into hard drugs like that. Last time i really talked to her was years ago when we were in high school and she was obsessed with harry potter and she was a total bookworm. Last i knew she was going to UT, but i guess she had dropped out and was staying at home again. The reason we know it wasnt accidental OD is because she tried killing herself before, and apparently last week she deleted her FB. I feel so bad, i live in Austin and she was going to school out here and i never reached out to kick it back or anything. In Islam, you have to wash the body within 3 days of death and bury it shortly after (iirc - my wife is Bosnian Muslim but not practicing and she's told me something like this before). I would say the family will never talk about her again if she was into drugs from a Muslim family as hard as that sounds. They will pretend it never happened and compartmentalize it. If it affects you, don't try and push it with your family.
