I dont mind infinite summons so long as there is a cooldown for their appearance or the boss has to summon them manually and become vulnerable

It's worse in a turned based RPG because you have to address them.

The SOS system in pokemon SM was a f****** nightmare. You cant capture a pokemon if more then one is on the field and they can summon new allies infinitely and without even wasting their turn. Causing the most mundane of encounters to last a eternity. And frustrate you if you're just trying to catch a mon.

Any point in a game where enemies infinitely spawn and its not clear they will or the area is something you want to casually explore is garbage.
