Thanks...

I probably can't get a government job. I'm not qualified for anything, I guess...

I'm sorry to hear that, friend. What happened in your case?

I was hired for a Senior web dev job, and I had some web dev experience but not enought, but was adept to learning as I go. I was given a training phase and was kicked out. I was questioning over and over why did they hire a 0 year work experience developer just to fire?

I moved 500+ miles out reluctantly now, im stuck out here jobless. I am getting tons of interview however so there some light

First off I'm sorry this happened to you OP but don't give up hope, if they put the time and effort into training you that means they saw your potential!

As someone who has been in sales for the last 10 years, dont ever go with a commission based sales job.

I disagree. I've been in sales for 8 years now and while the pay is never consistent like salary it really is fulfilling to see your own effort pay off when you have a killer month and move 20 SUVs.

This isn't to be seen as a personal failure since you can't recall any harm done. Likely, you were too nice. Big kahunas in sales jobs want their people to be aggressive savages. That isn't you.

Take some time to stabilize, then resume searching.

Discord me if you need anything.

Go government. I did and never looked back.

there's some pro's and cons though....

pay's good but government shutdowns are a common occurrence year after year. which means furlough without pay is bad :( or having to wait for a month before getting paid.

i don't have any optimism that the spending bills wont pass and donalds going to enjoy having another shutdown again.

But it is a personal failure because me just being me was terrible to them. I can't change my personality that much in order to find a job that would take the "new me". If people just don't like me, then why even bother?

That's the thing, I wasn't. There were lots of times where coworkers were hanging around talking and I would just ignore them and try to study my booklet or poke around in the computer system. I couldn't train myself and could only get "real experience" when someone walked in to get service which wasn't a constant thing. I did everything I could, but it just wasn't enough.

Sorry to hear. Take care of your mental health. If you let your current depression become a blight on your life, you will be hindered in whatever you do and continue to spiral out of control. Trust the rationality that if you clear your negative head space, you will have a much higher chance of success in doing whatever you pursue.

If you like sales, I've known many personal friends who entered and made a killing in car sales with no previous experience in sales. One of then makes six figures out of community college, one of them did the same and is now a finance manager, and one of them was making just below six figures. What they all have in common is people skills and great work ethic. To pull that many and hone those skills, you will work ridiculous hours at the dealership. You will work weekends, and up to 12 hours multiple days into the night with maybe a single day off a week.

It may sound tough but if you have the drive to be better than average you will succeed. Many dealerships will hire anyone as they have high turn over, as it's not a job suited for most people. If you want a job, don't have a significant other, have the time to invest your life into your work, and want to make a lot of money, I invite you to consider this option.

You could always take a clerk job at a courthouse, those are usually unionized, the work is easy, pay is decent.
