I haven't really noticed this myself, but I don't really play many Western AAA games. I thought Resident Evil 2 looked great on my 1080p tv, as did Sekiro. There's probably a few settings you could turn down to High to hit the framerate. I remember Ultra for Witcher 2 had super sampling enabled which was essentially doubling the resolution to increase image quality.
