oh. you reminded me. Hegel ends his first major book with a discussion of cults, and basically makes the claim that Spirit has not moved beyond the general logic of cult formation. (the final form of spirit is allegedly the nation state (silly thing to say, that is just where Hegel was, and by coincidence we have not moved beyond that point, other than to see it grow brittle in the face of corporate power) and the subject, the human soul, antithesis to substance, is characterized by the figure of the cult, but conservatively not the growth of the cult, which is repurpossed by the state)

Hegel's description of the state still exists, and is potentially the dominant one, unless you want to be granular and sort out differing more specific opinions in political science.

Government power VS marginal devotion. If it can't be monetized, it must be extinguished. Hence, Kenneth Copeland thrives.

need a source for this logic

yeah. there isn't much left to say. i think people get the wrong ideas about revolution, typical democratic socialist organizes in a group- a large body of people that is not likely to move around in a circle unless they actually work together, which at that point they have to abide by rules of capitalism, and like you just said...

edit: inspiration for this post drawn by FLN organizing principles and cell based communion in general

Yes, less empirical evidence, and more consensus. Questions are the nemesis of control. We have everything in hand, take a nap.

Marx and Engels had the weirdest relationship. The former was penniless, depressed, anxious, and petty as all get out. The former was a relatively wealthy industrialist who pretended to be respectable but not-so-secretly was Marx's BFF and biggest booster(aside from Marx's wife Jenny). Only Engels and Jenny could make sense of Karl's horrible chicken scratch and he never could have published anything without them. In fact, Engels was primarily responsible for putting out Volumes 2 and 3 of Das Kapital, as he assembled them from Marx's notes after Marx's death(Jenny died two years before Karl, so Engels was probably the only one left who could actually make sense of Karl's notes).

I will end by noting that Karl Marx was a massive Russophobe.

Engels' final say also usurped Marx's dialogue. The truth is the word of the living, the dead rarely have such luxuries.

Living history favors the most interesting and the most inspirational (manipulative). Tinfoil hats or inquisitive? Questions? History is set in stone.

I like to be open to questions and be weary of what is put infront of me. Am I paranoid or able to see through the smoke? The world is too monumental and ancient for me to be certain. I can only touch that which makes sense to me. Call my words BS or sensible. Up to you.

i think you're sensible... i am just sad that discursive production is completely overshadowed by profit motives, gatekept by academics, and apparently destructive to conservative sensibilities necessarily

I tend to shun gatekeeping, I have nothing to gain but a civil exchange of ideas, and, honestly, I do feel an inclination to challenge conservative notions. Not because of necessity, but amusement. I am what I am, and that's alls that I am.

no

I personally only care about hegel to the extent that his dialectical idealism was a necessary bouncing-off point for dialectical materialism
