Most CVs I've seen have it at the very end... and it's usually sports, fishing, martial arts, cooking, or something to that effect. I did see one guy write "making friends" and that made me laugh (but no I didn't hire him).

To answer your Q whether it'll help... it might strike up a conversation in the interview to help build rapport but I doubt the interest itself would be a key factor.

No, it's just useless filler, the fewer the text, the more appealing your resume will depending on how much competition you have.
