Poll of the Day > I was only able to play table tennis for 1 1/2 hours :(

Man I am out of shape lol. I went to the Tacoma Table Tennis Club today, which was a blast. I was sweating like crazy 30 minutes in, played nonstop for 1 1/2 hours pretty much (and forgot to bring water...so dumb).

Anyway it lasts for 4 hours, 3 days a week, but yeah, 1 1/2 hours in I had to call it, gonna have to work
up to the full 4 hours lol. Maybe start doing beat saber on the off days to help do that faster.

Pretty sad though, my sports life really really has gone down hill lol. I started with soccer, then football, then basketball, then tennis, then in my late 20's I did table tennis (after getting exhausted playing basket ball for 30 minutes lol).

Then I was married for 20 years, and just not that active the last 3, and now I can't even play table tennis
for 2 hours.

Hopefully that will change over time though. I was actually doing beat saber most days over an hour, but it's been like 6 months since then, and I guess as you get older, you get out of shape faster or something.

Pretty sure I could have done the full 4 hours 6 months ago.

Btw, I was good at all the sports I played, even table tennis.

I wont a tournament at Chabot College in the late 90's and the reward was to actually get to play against
the US Olympic table tennis team. They were so much out of my league it wasn't even funny, but it still was awesome/fun.

Barely remember it at all now sadly, I think they were mostly hawian though.

Anyway, I wasn't HORRID today, or the worst player, but it had been a good 20 years since I played last.
Didn't win a game against one of the better players but it was close a few times, and I was better then a few of the others even on my first day. Got a ton to relearn and my eyesight sucks now compared to when
I was younger, but I think i'll still be a decent challenge for most of them eventually.
