I give seiko the edge pretty much everywhere besides pilot/military. Skyhawk edges the flightmaster. Grand Seiko however, the ultra premium Seikos, are some of the finest watches on the market. A Grand Seiko worth $5-8k has finishing/decoration on the case, dial, movement, bracelet that's on the level of Swiss brands like Patek Philippe, Vacheron Constantin etc etc. (costing easily upwards of $20k).
