I can never remember how the ToH numbers line up with the seasons in which they appear, so Season 6's, with the time travel toaster.

I like the one where the Lard Lad donut statue and others come to life.

And the one where Homer discovers the third dimension. Not sure which episode(s) these are from.

Wow, did you know this?

https://simpsons.fandom.com/wiki/Treehouse_of_Horror_IX

The original version of "Hell Toupee" was supposed to have Troy McClure host Snake's execution, but since the voice of Troy McClure (Phil Hartman) unfortunately died, the entire sequence was redone with Ed McMahon as the host, with McClure's usual introduction reworked for McMahon ("Hi, I'm Ed McMahon. Tonight on Fox, from the producers of 'When Skirts Fall Off', and 'Secrets of National Security Revealed'..."). The Troy McClure version was recorded, but remained unvoiced as Hartman died before recording, and it has never been aired nor released in any official Simpsons media.

That doesn't make sense to me and seems like generic wiki hearsay, unless I'm reading it wrong.

Recorded but remained unvoiced because he died before recording it? If something was not recorded than how does it exist

They did the animation but didn't do the voice recording sessions with Phil Hartman yet.

Oh so it was just worded dumbly, I'm pretty sure a better word could have been used other than recorded considering it being animated

Oh I know I think the first one is the best but that clip was more scary than anything I've seen on the Simpsons.

IV or V

Favorite individual segment is either Dial "Z" for Zombies (III), Nightmare Cafeteria (V) or Nightmare on Evergreen Terrace (VI).

V is my favorite, it's a perfect episode especially with the Willy axe gags and the musical number at the end. My favorite individual segment will always be "Citizen Kang".

I'm surprised at the lack of love X has gotten. It's probably my second favorite.
