Like if you want to get the entire franchise of a movie series it's easy. You just buy a boxset and there you go.

Steam and PC gaming does manage to do this because there's no BC to worry about. Even Bethesda releases physical Fallout bundles. I just wish we saw more of it.

Microsoft has made a solid effort of it. There's quite a few franchises you can play all the way through on there thanks to their BC efforts. The Rare Replay collection is great.

It sucks because I know it's due to consoles not being able to handle BC easily so these games require ports but damn it is a missed opportunity someone can't just go to a store and buy a massive Mario or God of War boxset or something.

Hopefully PS5 and Scarlett actually make a solid effort next gen and it's made possible.

Sometimes it feels like the video game industry doesn't really make a big attempt to make their legacy easy to access. It's something pretty unique compared to movies, books and music.
