Nintendo really screwed themselves with the N64. Sure, it worked at the time, but the ramifications of backing out of the Playstation deal made them have to appeal to different people.

It's sad only because the Gamecube was the best nintendo console since the SNES and a Gamecube 2.0 would have been amazing. Unfortunately Sont crushed the gamecube so hard Nintendo acts like it almost never even existed
