Divert power to Edgewater or to the Deserters.

I was so ready to go "Fuck Edgewater" but then Parvati was like "Umm...don't forget there are good people in Edgewater that might die without power."

And I went Fuck this is hard. Don't spoil the consequences of my choices for me but man, so well done, Obsidian! Why couldn't Bethesda do stuff like this?

Because Bethesda has no idea what they're doing and Obsidian is an excellence factory running on a ten-turbine quality generator.

Megaton isn't a moral dilemma. You're either playing an evil bastard or you're not playing an evil bastard.

Yeah. There's no gray in Megaton. The choice in Outer Worlds is much heavier.

Megaton was "Not nuke an entire settlement of innocent people" vs "Nuke an entire settlement of innocent people because some rich asshole doesn't like looking at it"

It's a decision more known for its long-term impact on the game vs being a morally difficult decision.

I chose the Deserters. I'm sorry but Edgewater needed to stop drinking the Kool-Aid eventually and keeping status quo in place was not good.

I went to the town after the decision and damn....shit felt so dead.

If you talk to Vicar he gives the "best" pathway for you to take that makes the decision fairly easy. He says that you can convince the deserters to go back to Edgewater willingly. Even Reed is willing to step down for the old lady to come in. The decision would have been harder if Reed was more of a prick.

I heard that, but I assumed the deserters going back to Edgewater simply meant that they would be back under Reed's control. Interesting twist.

The best solution is easily a "hidden" one.

Give the power to Edgewater, the deserters say they won't go back to Edgewater if Reed is still there. Talk to him, and he just...leaves. Barely any struggle for me, just said Edgewater would be better without him and he's like "yea alright, if it's better for the people I'll leave". Then the deserts go to Edgewater without Reed there. You can also just kill him though.
