Bro, it's a statistic. It's just saying the majority of who was polled demonstrated that trait, it doesn't mean EVERYONE will.

Statistics are interesting because they can be entirely factual and also entirely misleading at the same time. It's very easy to extrapolate false conclusions from completely correct statistics and it explains so much of what is in the news.

It's more about context.

Sure, it's true that X% of Y is/does Z, but if you bring this up in a discussion about Y when nobody asked about Z, it's clear you're doing it to stir up trouble.
