...Bethesda style games

By which I mean immersive first person rpgs

Tired of Bethesda taking a decade to put a new entry in a series out

lolno

This is the same industry that unilaterally decided that single player games were passe, and nobody liked survival horror games anymore. Quelle surprise when both sell ridiculously well because people still crave the experiences.

this reminder brings me back down to reality, unfortunately. i was playing the game last night and remarked to myself that i was glad serious crpg and wrpg games were becoming a thing again, in no small part thanks to obsidian. the time of like 2007 to 2014 was pretty grim for any legitimate or serious entries in the genre.

but yeah, this is still an industry when things like microtransactions are what every big publisher's bottom line is and the games themselves suffer for it. i dunno. i want to hope, but the industry makes it so hard to do so.

Playing outerworlds makes me wish obsidian got a chance to make a new full realized fallout. I'm enjoying outerworlds but I prefer the setting and lore of fallout and it sucks Bethesda is just tarnishing that IP.

At least we got obsidian to continue these kind of games I agree TC hopefully they make some great exclusives on xbox.

Yeah, it's funny how much publishers are out of touch. In my eyes, genres never truly die, there's always fans for any genre. Some are more mainstream than others. But the moment you stop making games that appeal to these fanbases, you lose customers.

Like, I don't play multiplayer very often, so I often avoid games that are strictly multiplayer or have a high emphasis on it. If the industry ever decides that "games as a service" and "multiplayer" are the way to go and decides to dump single-player experiences completely, then I'm done.

I've got, like, seven games in my mind that are "Fallout but..." and no one else is making things like this. I just want a Fallout-like game about dinosaurs, please.
