What you mean, they are definitely around. I dated this 35 year old who mentioned she knew alot about cars and tbh i thought she was bullshitting but one day she cancelled a date to fix her moms car and asked me to go over and help and yeah. We were up all night on her driveway and i was her flashlight bitch. She replaced the belt thing on the motor. Got that shit working by morning. But yeah she was a true tomboy.

It shouldnt have taken that long to replace the serpentine belt, thats like a twenty minute job beginning to end.

But if you guys were replacing the timing belt, that could take the better part of a night, since I think Im most cars it requires actually removing part of the engine to even get access to it.

Yeah thats what she did she took that whole bitch out. I dont know shit about cars obviously but im telling you she practically gutted it. At first she was hoping it was the easier one then realized she had to take the motor out. She had a huge argument with her mom about it while i was there
She was a cool ass chick but she had allllloooot of baggage i wast ready for as someone 10 years younger than her (son hospitalized after taking 10 hits of acid in one night, ex husband doing 40 years for molesting their daughter).

I'm sure tomboys are still around, technically, but the label itself probably is gone.

Tomboys were a novelty because they were little girls with traditional male interests. And they were children. It was expected they would become "normal women" when they got older. Any teen or adult female with male interests would stop being a tomboy and start being suspected of being a lesbian.

But nowadays, with changing gender norms, people are shying away from labeling interests as "male" or "female." Now a little girl who's into playing with trucks is no longer a tomboy. She's just a girl who likes to play with trucks. And if she grows up still liking male stuff, it's no longer a big deal. Are you gonna be a sexist and tell a woman she can't like guy stuff? Society says no, you shouldn't, so let her be.
