Thanks to THC vape carts, people who do nicotine vaping are going back to regular cigarettes as a result of the scare tactic employed by, frankly, negligent health officials.

Meanwhile in the U.K., hospitals are carrying vaping supplies to help people quit smoking.

Thanks, marijuana, you got blood on your filthy leaves.

In addition, state health officials reported two vaping cartridges submitted by a medical marijuana caregiver to a Michigan Marijuana Regulatory Agency licensed safety compliance facility also contained 40% or more of vitamin E acetate.

If you want to make the most money when you only have 100 mL of THC, filling up twenty 5-mL carts is dumb when you can make twice the money making forty carts with 2.5-mL THC and 2.5-mL filler (and the like).

See you're failing to take this into account: They aren't specifically asking for Vitamin E or Olive Oil-filled carts. They're asking to purchase a(n illicit, in some states) substance (that isn't nicotine).

I mean, there's clearly a double standard by potheads. If street dealers were selling "flavored nicotine vape juice" that sickened thousands and killed ~40 people, they would call for a complete ban on all nicotine ejuice, even if it turns out early into the investigation that those who got sick were buying adulterated products and were led to believe that it contained only PG,VG,flavorings, nicotine (the standard ingredients).

But put the shoe on the other foot with THC, marijuana-related, they'll do a complete 180 and deny that their industry has anything to do with it, despite the people affected being consumers of said industry.

Actual vaping for MJ is fine. Using the real deal that is. Its actually the healthiest intake method. But dont have any idea about cartridges or whatever. And nicotine is fucked regardless.

How about we just legalize marijuana so people in illegal states don't have to buy unregulated, black market shit?

Like fuck, the solution to this problem is so easy.

Because the inevitable tax on it will push folks into buying cheaper black market stuff anyways.
See: Deaths + hospitalizations that occurred in states that have legalized it.

You'll only help "rich" folks who can afford to pay an extra $20 for the peace-of-mind that comes from a paper that reads "Lab Certified and Tested for Contaminants, Quality, blah blah".

Lol clearly you've never dealt with flakey dealers or dealers that lie about their shit.

What? Of all the vape-related deaths, only like 1 or 2 occurred in legal states.

Also, that extra $20 is going to get you more potent shit that's going to last longer. Most black market shit is bunk compared to what you'll find in a dispensary and people know it.

Of course they lie about their shit, we have 1600+ hospitalized and ~36 deaths to prove it.

What? Of all the vape-related deaths, only like 1 or 2 occurred in legal states.

Deaths in states with legalized recreational: 3 in California alone. 2 in Oregon. 1 in Illinois. 1 in Massachusetts.
When you include states where only medical MJ is legalized: 1 Montana, 3 in Minnesota, 1 in Florida, 1 in Michigan, and 1 from the East Coast states that I'm too lazy to bother trying to read small print.

So that's 7, in states that legalized both rec and medical. And that's only deaths.

Do you think the 100 people hospitalized (in California alone, last week's numbers) don't know that?

Wilcoxen says he would buy the vape cartridges from Washington's legal marijuana shops and use them on his off-duty days to relieve stress.
Shortly after vaping, he began wheezing heavily. Soon he was nauseated and running a fever.

"I just felt horrible," he remembers. "I tried to get through the weekend and tough it out."

Doctors found a strange build-up in his lungs and sent it for analysis. The results came back positive for lipoid pneumonia a rare respiratory illness caused by oils or fats entering the lungs. It's one of the vaping-related conditions researchers have identified in others hospitalized in recent months.

Wilcoxen is still recovering and has decided to sue.

"Buy something off the black market, you are taking your chances," says Mark Lindquist, Wilcoxen's attorney. But customers who buy their vape products from a state-licensed store, he says, should be able to count on getting a safe product.

Not to mention, with legalization you have to deal with people driving under the influence, and increased hospital admits (Geez, now it's becoming more clear on why liberals want free healthcare)

Fair enough. But even still, federal legalization would open the door for more rigorous product testing and regulation. Right now, things are pretty lax because the industry simply isn't big enough.

You're never going to totally end black market sales. Hell, people still sell cigarettes on the street. But that's not the point. The point is to allow for a viable, legally regulated competitor to enter the market.

At the very least SOME people will just go to a dispensary and not some sketchy dealer. And of course, some people are gonna wonder how their dealer is able to sell supposedly dispensary shit for a fraction of the price.
