When the English dub is awful like in BOTW I understand it. But when the english dub is well done, it just feels too weaboo to play it in japanese. Especially since japanese voice acting tends to be ridiculously over-dramatic

If the English is bad I put it on Spanish because at least I know what they're saying (most of the time. I'm not fluent but it's at least intelligible)
Also, BotW is fantastic with Spanish VA --- Alkaloid: It's just water in a cup. ... Copied to Clipboard!

English is better than Japanese for most characters in BotW. Not for Mipha though, bleh

I don't know why, I just put it on Japanese voice acting even when the dub is pretty good. I think was Fire Emblem Three Houses.

Eh, English is not my first language and I understand Japanese so it really shouldn't matter which language I play my games in. And even if English was my main language, what's wrong with preferring another one for media? It's not like you're being forced to play the game my way

I usually like playing with the English dub but it's so fucking hard in Tales of Vesperia Definitive because of how inconsistent things are. Yuri sometimes has two different voice actors in the same cutscene, and the newer skits sound completely different compared to the old skits, it's too damn jarring
