I'm much stronger and faster than he was, also taller and somewhat heavier. He trained in judo when he was a kid but was more into partying by my age. I'd probably win.

Dad was a carpentry worker, and although he didn't necessarily have any combat training of any kind the sort of work he did definitely put muscle mass and tone on his body - so dad at like 35 versus me at 31? Especially me with cancer and shit? Dad would tear me apart if he actually really wanted to.

And that year would probably be in like his 50's. Dude's absurd.

Absolutely wouldn't want to take that challenge at my current age and fit level.

And in my prime and my old man in his prime we would tear each other apart, it wouldn't be pretty. Kind of like when an unstoppable force meets and unmovable object.

My old man had that killer instinct. They just don't build'em like that anymore. RIP pops.

My dad has worked hard through his whole life as a construction worker. He is still very strong today at age 57.

He's only 5'5" or 5-7" in his prime. I'm currently only 23, and 5'9". Yet, i'm weaker than him hahaha. I believe my dad would beat me in a fight. I'm been a football (soccer) player for a long time so i'm usually more focused on speed/agility than building strengths.

What i'm so thankful for is the "young" genetics I got from my parents. They are over their 50's, yet look pretty young (40's). I'm only 23, yet many thought I'm still in high school haha.

Huh... me in my prime VS me in my dad's prime I think I'd win, but current me VS prime dad... I dunno. It would be close. He was always in... normal middle-aged dad shape when I was growing up, but he was in the army before I was around so I assume he was in pretty good shape then.

Dad in his prime was probably about 6-3 240 and in reasonable good shape from coaching year round. I'm 6-1 250 in, being generous, ok shape. I'm probably stronger than he was in his prime but he was probably in better shape overall.

I'd probably win a fight though because he was a natural right who had polio strike his right shoulder when he was a kid, and it made it so he had a hard time with mobility in his right arm. Didn't have much of an effect in day to day stuff but in a fight it would probably make the difference.

My dad was a firefighter--the chief, in fact--when I was a kid. This was his volunteer job, in addition to running a small hardware store mostly by himself. After that, he worked in a warehouse, though that was only partly manual. After that, he went into asphault, and shoveled probably millions of 40lb shovels before going into concrete and swinging a ten pound hammer one-handed thousands of times a day and lifting 80lb forms on the regular.

He didn't have any combat experience but his biceps were like cantaloupe sized.

Then he got an office job since he was in his mid 60's and he's losing strength fast. :(
