Pre grated cheese costs more and goes bad way faster, I legit don't get the point unless you're running a very busy restaurant

It's useful if you have a big event on and the quality doesn't matter. So if you're making grilled cheese sandwiches for like 200 people on short notice, then it makes sense. Otherwise, no.

i buy mexican shredded cheese cuz its cheap and in small qty-i dont eat a lot of dairy.

the blocks just go bad for me.
