For anyone who remembers, I had a lot of stomach problems all summer leading up to my wedding, was diagnosed with gastritis and esophagitis, got prescribed meds, etc...

My feelings of bloating/fullness all day never went away, so I went for a sonogram last week. They said my stomach, gallbladder, and pancreas all looked good. I thought FOR SURE I had a tumor or something just cuz like I said I always feel bloated and have abdominal cramping. But no, they said ultrasound was all good.

Doctor said to come back in one year for a checkup, or earlier if needed. Not that I want to be sick, but without a diagnosis/explanation, I don't know what to do now. Bodies are bullshit, man -_-

That's what I'm thinking now. I do have a prescription for Valium, but I rarely take it. I might go back to talking a half tablet a day and see if it helps.

At the advice of one of my clients, I'm gonna try cutting out milk for a week or two and see if that helps at all. I'm not lactose intolerant but I do drink a shit ton of it, so couldn't hurt to try it.

have you tried examining your diet?

many people have these "non serious" issues and diet changes help

Nah they tested for that during the endoscopy in June. I thought maybe that was it cuz my sister has Celiac, but nope :\

Plus all my terrible is in the upper GI tract, but gluten issues tend to manifest more in the lower, IIRC.

basing off of your post, it kinda sounds like you do, dude. are you sure there's not something going on in your life that would cause you to project, imagine or exaggerate bodily functions, like work stress or something

Ah, nothing better than having a undiagnosed sickness. You get to feel like shit everyday while people tell you you're faking it and/or bringing it on yourself for selfish reasons.

I mean i already eat pretty healthy. We only eat out once a week, cook at home every night besides that. The only meat I eat is poultry and fish. Probably the most unhealthy thing I eat on a regular basis is chocolate or ice cream lol.

Sorry to hear you have a similar problem, dude. You have digestive probs? Or something else?

Like I posted earlier, I'm gonna give milk a break for the next week or two and see if it changes anything.

Damn, you sound like a healthier eater than me. Probably cause I live alone.

Do you have good days and bad days or is it always there?

Tbqh I keep hearing this sentiment a lot from people in their 20s and 30s.

I'm starting to feel like if you're not like 50+ years old, doctors just sorta write you off as a pussy/hypochondriac and don't actually spend much time analyzing your signs and symptoms.

And there's a lot of them writing it off as anxiety. I've been through it all. I completely stopped drinking alcohol and caffeine. Got better sleep. Then started taking actual anxiety drugs because I still didn't feel good.

I've done all I can to ward off this catch-all "anxiety" shit but it still doesn't help.

If I have any anxiety, it's because I feel my heart going crazy and it scares me. Anxiety isn't the root cause.

They're starting to spectate that it's the bend of my scoliosis messing with my stomach. I doubt it tho.

Yeah, that's my experience. It gets easier to live with but obviously it would be better to figure out.

This is how I feel about my tinnitus. I went through all kinds of tests (hearing tests, electrodes strapped to my head, MRI, the works) and they found nothing at all.

I just get to live with it.

Yo! I had that exact thought with my own abdominal probs since I have a curved spine too. Do you have regular scoliosis where it bends to the side, or lordosis where you have it with the spine curving inwards?

To the side. In this situation, that sounds lucky. I discusses surgery with one surgeon a couple months ago. But he didn't think it would help. Im gonna get a set up for a second opinion next time Im in Ann Arbor

It might be worth getting tested either way, lactose is in a ton of foods you wouldn't expect.

Where do you go to get tested for that? An allergist? Or a gastroenterologist?

Yours sounds like it would make even more sense to fuck with your stomach tho. What kind of back pain does it cause you? Mine is 90% lower.

Yeah it's all lower back for me. I only really get it though when I'm standing at the counter for a while, or during long road trips.
