This isn't a complaint thread, I love mince pies.

The Big W we have also has Christmas trees up next to Halloween decorations:

Places that do Christmas anything before Thanksgiving deserve to go bankrupt.

Even before December is annoying tbh.

We don't do Thanksgiving in Australia. We save it all for Christmas.

What's a mince pie?

It has fruit mince, like raisins, and occasionally botanicals like finely grated citrus rind. The inside is brown, sticky and sweet, like a sticky date pudding.

Fun fact: Woolworth's reorganized after their bankruptcy and the remnants became Foot Locker, which as stated below was a company started by Woolworth's in 1974.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/F._W._Woolworth_Company#Focus

On July 17, 1997, Woolworth's closed its remaining department stores in the U.S. and changed its corporate name to Venator.

In 1999, Venator moved out of the Woolworth Building in New York City to offices on 34th Street. On October 20, 2001, the company changed names again; this time, it took the name of its top retail performer and became Foot Locker, Inc., which Woolworth started in 1974. The corporate history of Woolworth is legally included in the history of Foot Locker, Inc., which is the legal continuation of Woolworth. In 2012, as part of celebrating F. W. Woolworth's centennial on the New York Stock Exchange, a news release featured 1912 Woolworths store and a 2012 Foot Locker store as part of observing the event, including ringing the bell on June 26, 2012.[15]

Yeah. I remember getting Woodstock '94 shirts from one of the local Woolworth's for $5 apiece after having worked at the concert and NOT wanting to pay $25-30 apiece for one. I think I got nWo shirts for $5 apiece from them when the whole nWo thing in pro wrestling was still pretty huge.

Not to mention I loved stalking their gaming clearance. I got quite a few titles for $5 apiece or so. I also used to love the gaming clearance at Sears and Kmart. But first they got rid of the gaming sections at both chains and then all but TWO nearby Kmart stores closed and ALL of the close Sears stores went away too.
