I'll start:

2010: High School bullshit
2011: A lot of "friends" turned on me and it was shitty
2012: Finish high school in Indiana and move to Olympia, WA for college. First semester of college wasn't as epic of the rest but some good times for sure. I get more into drugs around this tiem
2013: Epic crazy year that I will ALWAYS remember
2014: Also really epic crazy year. Spent it living in SoCal during my "year off" from college. A bit of family drama and then my bi polar starts to get REALLY bad towards the end of this year. Lots of sex though even better than 2013
2015: Come back to college as a mental wreck. Some embarrassing shit happens. I get put on bi polar meds in june and then I'm fine, rest of the year was pretty mellow but I banged a few cute girls and made progress in college
2016: Pretty good year. Spend the summer in Louisville, Kentucky which was fun. Moved in with a friend fall semester and I realize he is completely insane
2017: Friend acts even more insane to the point where I am scared of him. Finish college and get my BA and move to Tacoma, WA. My bi polar starts to get worse and I get put on stronger medication and then I'm fine again. Move back home to Indianapolis later in the year and start my Masters program
2018: REALLY shitty luck with jobs for the first half of the year. Pretty sucky. Get a better job and things get better but a pretty boring year.
2019: Basically 2018 but a better job situation all year around. Close to finishing my Masters and I find out I get to move to Boulder, CO next May/June because of a dank set up. Mental health is fine, and I start drinking less.

It was seriously garbage.

Easily the worst decade in history. Like, nothing comes close.

Some good, some bad. I think it's been equal parts of both.

2010-2012: the same bullying shit that had been going on for the last 10 years. Had my first girlfriend in 2011, but she fucked around and did dumb shit like smoking weed laced with Panadol. One of the most traumatic events of my life happened where she took a bunch of painkillers and washed them down with vodka, locked herself in my bathroom and kept passing in and out of consciousness.

2013: turned 18, managed to befriend some dudes I still spend time with to this day. Last time I saw an earlier high school friend, but I intentionally manufactured this - he came back to town for my 18th birthday, and as soon as he left I made a new Facebook account and blocked him from ever seeing it.

2014: lots of drinking, lots of partying - 18 is legal drinking age in Australia. One of my friends poured alcohol into the cola I was using to mix my rum, and it was the first night I ever blacked out and puked. I still hate one of the guys who did it, for this but also for becoming a slimy little druggo rapist.

2015: Uneventful. Days literally fade into one another. I played five Metal Gear Solid games this year - one, four, portable ops, peace walker and 5. Only notable part of my year. Sometime between 2014 and 2015, my friend started hanging out with this really annoying, bitchy single mother.

2016: Bitchy single mother gives birth to her second child on my birthday. On the plus side, she had moved across town, so while she was still friends with my friend, she didn't spend every single day trying to get my friend to do some bullshit. She lived across the road at one point, and since I spent time with him daily she'd have to invite me along like I was a bad smell. This distance made me like her just a tiny bit more.

2017: my friend nearly had an affair with one of his co-workers. They did everything except fuck - she blew him, they dry-humped multiple times including once when I was in the same room. She got pregnant from her current boyfriend so she broke that whole thing off. I started going to dinner parties with that woman's boyfriend's brother and his partner, with that guy actually working at the same store as my mum. It was around here that I started buying into the "small town, everyone knows each other" shit.

2018: I got a Switch for Christmas 2017, so I spent a lot of time with that. I also got a cheap PS3 halfway through the year. I still have the same set up in my room. I also started doing TAFE, which has helped me find a level of confidence I never had during or after my years at school. Another friend of mine got a girlfriend.

2019: Still at TAFE, doing a higher certificate than last year. Still spend time with one of my friends a lot, and I see my other friend and his girlfriend a fair bit too. Doing better than when the decade began. It's been a rollercoaster for sure, but I'm definitely in a better place than when I began.

2010: Started high school. Not off to a good start because our "student orientation" is just glorified hazing and I for some reason got under the spotlight. I got bullied and harassed for a few months, but it died down pretty quickly.

2011: Most if not all the bullying had died down. I joined my school's computer club, but in reality, most of what we did were playing Warcraft III on LAN (we got the entire computer lab as our clubroom). We also organized city-wide programming, web design, and graphic design competitions. This is the second-best year of my life

2012: The school decided we had it too good and moved our group to a much smaller room. Plus, the newer members don't share the videogaming interest as the older members. Graduated high school this year and come August, I went to Singapore for my bachelor's. The freedom of being away from parents is awesome.

2013: Started exploring Singapore more and more. My uni is a random private uni that I can afford to not take too seriously, so I got lots of time to do random travels around the country. Public transportation is amazing so getting anywhere is easy. Best year of my life.

2014-2015: Graduated, took a short break, entered a one-month paid internship and then went almost full-NEET. Lame and unproductive period.

2016-2017: Got into a pretty prestigious university for a Master's degree study. Started taking my studies more seriously and graduated without major hitch with a decent GPA. Got a pretty nice temp job teaching Java while studying; my first real job. Very uneventful, but very productive years.

2018-now: Got offered a Ph.D. scholarship, which I took on the spot, because the thought of being rejected from interviews scare me so I'd just take whatever opportunity is there. Turned out to be one of the worst life decisions made. I mean I saved a lot of my stipends while still being able to buy some stuff I really want, but most of the study is just depressing all around. Gonna be quitting soon I think.

There's been ups and downs. I went from being a lonely, depressed college student with ptsd to being in a happy marriage and with a bit more confidence overall.
I started drinking pretty heavily around the beginning of the decade and finally cut that out around the end after nearly 9 years. There has been a lot of "bad luck" compressed into the past couple of years, but I've also had a lot of success with treatment which has helped me deal with it all much better than I previously would have. So I'm in a better place than I was at the beginning of the decade really. Hopefully the trend continues!
