I would never go over $40 for a single pair of shoes (except Chuck Taylor All-Stars high tops. They're my favorite shoes of all time).
I stick to shirts, button downs, raglans or flannels. And mostly primarily jeans as far as the lower body stuff go. Nothing expensive.

However, the only article of clothing I would consider dropping some serious dough on is a sweet ass jacket. A fly ass jacket is always cool.

I usually don't spend more than $50 on a single of anything, usually in the $20 to $30 range for shirts and jeans/shorts. I'll spend up to $60 for a nice pair of comfy DC shoes or something though.

More than $5 for shoes is too much for me

nah, i don't mind paying a decent amount for clothes but nothing expensive unless it's v good

but i tend to avoid designer brands and go for cheaper streetwear stuff. nothing over 150 for shoes or 50 t-shirt, and don't mind buying second hand

I used to be very cheap and limited my spend on casual attire but sometimes I indulge on quality items especially as I sometimes wear casual to work eg Gucci sneakers, Hermes belt, etc. That being said, as a guy I think I can get away with wearing reasonably affordable mainstream clothes eg Superdry t shirts, Levis jeans, etc. whereas I think its a lot harder for the ladies who tend to prefer to be more unique from what I can tell.

Every clothing item I own that isn't my suits was bought at a Goodwill or other thrift stores.

There's a shocking amount of Goodwills near very wealthy areas in this city so I get some really nice shit.
