Mine "work". They just end up developing some kind of malfunction in less than a year, usually with the analog stick, like stuttering.

Derr stop throwing yer controller!

Good thing I don't. Just had to point that out because this gets brought up every time I make this topic.

Xbox is the same way. Ergonomically fantastic controllers, but you get drift and unresponsive buttons in a matter of months, just from normal use. and yeah, chucklefucks are always like hurrr don't get mad and throw your controller bro but these are people that play for like an hour a night

It's a luck thing. I've had mine forever and it's still good as ever. My best friend had his for a few months and one of his sticks would always drift in one direction. I also play a whole lot more than he does.

I think it's okay. I prefer the Wii U Pro controller tho. Haven't tried the Switch Pro.

It is the only controller that can control Spiderman, so it is the best.

It's great in terms of control and ergonomics, but I have yet to have one last longer than a year without having something go wrong with it

No, the whole process of designing and manufacturing the controller was just a huge accident that happened entirely by coincidence. They were like: "whoops."

Agreed with both of these. When it works it works. It feels just fine and all that good stuff. But give that motherfucker a year and something starts acting up. For me, it's usually the analog stick. I've gone through about four or five of these things now. Jesus.

Meanwhile, I've had the same PS3 controllers since 2008 and they work just fine to this day. So what the hell?

I've needed to buy 4 controllers over 5 years. Mostly because they stop holding a charge.

Only problem that ive had with mine, are bad battery -.-

I always keep one in the charger, so its not a big problem, but seeing the Switch controller outlasting the PS4 controller like 3-4 times over makes me wonder what drains the DS4 so fast

I still have the original one that came with my ps4. The only issues I have is that when I set it down the r2/l2 buttons get pressed a lot.

That's annoying. Otherwise it's fine. I've never heard of them breaking quickly

Got 'em

Kidding aside, the PlayStation controller, outside of the very first, has been the same, right? Even the PS1 got the sticks at some point, right?

That's the first I'm hearing of the issue. Fortunately the two I have never had an issue

Ive had my PS4 since launch and Ive only had to replace one controller in that time. And it wasnt broken but the left analog stick started to experience some drift so I decided to get a replacement for it.

Aside from thinking the battery life could be improved I think the controller is fine, at least based on my personal experience with it.
