Ive never heard of applying for multiple positions at one company. I dont see how theyd keep on calling you back for different interviews if you fail one.

depends on how big the company is and the function of each position. if they find someone perfect for one position that you applied for but you're still a very good candidate why wouldn't they call you back for another interview?

my current agency is big enough i applied 100 times (got 33 interviews)

to answer the question: if you want to work there, apply for all of them

I think my record is 7. This one company was adding a similar position in every department and I just wanted it actually on the record in their database I was interested in any of them.

We only did 1 interview, it was generic enough to cover all them.

I work in HR, specifically recruitment for a big pseudo-government business. We have a large number of openings and its very common to see an external candidate apply to more than one opening at a time.

If their company's HR practices are anywhere like mine, different recruitment people hire for different positions so we work with each other if a candidate has applied to multiple positions (scheduling multiple interviews a day with the different managers so the candidate doesn't have to come in twice).

It's encouraged to apply to multiple positions if they interest you.

Thanks TheDoctorIsln for the advice...Also.. since you worked in HR, I have question for you.

Does background check tell you what jobs someone had. Someone claimed to have made a fake company using a throw away Cell phone and when the place he was looking for called he acted like he was CEO or something. Is that possible or was this guy full of crap.

Not really but a lot of times if you apply to one position and they think you'd be a better fit for a different position they might just move you there. But apply to everything, it never hurts to apply.

Yes apply for each one in a different sent email. However dont use different email addresses yourself if that's what you meant

Depending on what field you're in, you won't get a job unless you apply everywhere you possibly can.
