I grew up on Super Mario Bros. From an early age, I learned that you needed to get good to beat a game. Beating a game meant something. "Normal" mode in games is easy mode for me. I always go with hard mode. Anyone else?

Disagree w/topic titles, agree that some games (looking at certain nintendo titles) have definitely been watered down quite a bit in terms of difficulty.
Some people just want to enjoy the game and many don't derive enjoyment from challenge, but rather from enjoyable gameplay and story. to each their own tbh --- uwu SW-0239-3946-8686 ... Copied to Clipboard!

Hard games have been in vogue since Dark Souls. We get a handful of solid, difficult titles every year now.

Pat from two best friends coached his gf into beating multiple souls games because he told her exactly how to make a good build.
