As title suggests I'm debating either a new Optima S model or a used 2016 Impala LTZ.

Benefits of the Impala is it's huge, has a v6 to properly move it and has more than enough space for both my giant frame and anyone I want to drive around with. Negatives are the drivetrain warranty is already halfway over, and a 6 year/100k extended warranty is another 3500.

In the other corner is the Kia Optima. I'm coming from a 2018 Optima so I know what to expect, but this time round has a few more safety features that I like, and has from the get go a gigantic warranty.

After incentives on the Optima both cars are within a thousand bucks of each other, so the question is whether or not I should get a lightly used full size car or a brand new mid size again.
