The story is actually pretty good, with a strong lady main character, a queen with a great proactive personality without feeling forced. But the gameplay just killed me. It doesn't play like Witcher Gwent. Almost every encounter is a kind if puzzle, and these puzzles just were not fun to me. The thing is, the standalone gwent game may be that, and it is indeed included in the story of theonebreaker, but only a small portion of encounters are this instance of the standalone style gwent. Thronebreaker introduces a third variation, the puzzles I mentioned earlier.
