It isn't even baseless, since I looked into it again and found several articles mentioning the finding in studies. One of the universities in the area had a branch of their psychology department that did screening and diagnosis. Just Google "autism testing" or something to find places in your area. A doctor and a grad student inrerviewed me, observed, and gave me some assessments (written or otherwise) over the course of several appointments. They ask loved ones some question and also have them to fill out a test like in this topic to get an outside perspective. Dang, I live in a somewhat smaller place and my parents don't live nearby.
