I always thought it was silly when they have version-specific legendaries and one has an advantage over the other.

Kyogre > Groudon
Xerneas > Yveltal
Palkia > Dialga (well, Water > Steel at least)

Dialga was better than Palkia due to not being weak to Dragon because of the Steel typing, while Palkia and Giratina get btfo'd by Roar of Time/Draco Meteor.

I always used to get the second version or whatever it's called. Blue, Silver, Sapphire, Pearl. They always had the cooler ones.
But RSE is the exception, all three cover legendaries were awesome and Groudon is the coolest looking legendary in the entire series.

Even though Yveltal had a type weakness to Xerneas, I actually think it's a more useful Pokemon because Oblivion Wing is the GOAT flying type move.

Grouyawn can't even compare to Ky-GOAT-re.

I think Xerneas was more prevalent in the meta, might still be too.
