I feel ya TC. My wife and I need to keep the humidifier on all winter long or else we just wake up to sore throats and dry, bloody noses.

It rains every day during the summer so humidity is through the roof, you're constantly sweaty to the point where you never feel dry, and there are bugs everywhere. Fuck fire ants. Present day, my wife and I don't use AC, and live in a coastal town on Long Island, so every summer we deal with 78and 80% humidity in our living room, and we tolerate it lol.
