Last week's AEW Dynamite episode was one of my favorite nights watching wrestling in a very long time.

The only thing I know about AEW is they have Allie who is a hot chick and Chris Jericho who is one of the worst fucking performers in wrestling

On the other hand WWE have a literal fucking porn storyline going on so it's tied

I can think of a ton of way worse performers than Jericho in WWE alone, and that's not even approaching the worst of places like CMLL and TNA

I don't like Jericho as much as most people, but he's not bad. He's just lost several steps compared to what he used to be

Maybe it was just how he was in WWE but I never saw him as a main event guy or even second fiddle.
Outside of the half moonsault from the middle ropes he wasn't very interesting

I feel like they have better in-ring performances typically because they care first and foremost about being a good wrestling experience.

Some of their storyline choices aren't the best, but compared with WWE they are far more consistent and better.

This is almost as weird as people claiming Edge wasn't main event material. Jericho was very charismatic, excellent on the mic and knew how to turn shit into gold. He just didn't have size on his side

Absolutely this. AEW wants to be a wrestling show first and foremost, while Vince wants WWE wants to be "sports entertainment" as his senile ass calls it. While AEW still has some kinks to work out, it's still by far the better of the two at being a wrestling show for wrestling fans.

The only part of WWE still worth watching is NXT, because Vince hasn't put his grubby hands on it and taken away the good wrestling it has to offer.

I don't follow WWE closely enough to rate it anymore (though what little I know of its recent material does not sound good), but I've given AEW a very brief check to see if it would make me care about pro wrestling again, and...nope, it lost my interest pretty much right away.

I whole heartedly agree. Plus, I hate that we have to include NXT when discussing all of WWE because its almost a completely different product. Its really is AEW better than NXT?

He was boring. His only good skill on the mic was insulting Steph. He even admitted if he didn't get to insult her his career would have never taken off.
Size doesn't matter in wrestling - this isn't Kevin Nash's dreamland.
In general he's not a very good wrestler and can't put on good matches.

AEW is better in almost every way so far, it's really refreshing. Better wrestling, more interesting characters, better commentary, more interesting storylines, better ring announcing, production, tag teams, etc. WWE has the better women's division but that's it

Like comparing them right now, I would say yes because somehow WWE just manages to get dumber and dumber. When they announced Paul Heyman was in charge of Raw, they had one awesome episode and it seemed like great things were to come. Now it's just a bunch of bullshit though.

So AEW is better right now. I think they do need to get more stories going though. There is such a thing as too much wrestling. I'm getting burned out on seeing these guys give it so much in every match week in and week out.

No, I hate AEWs style of wrestling. Every match is too long, moves are done just to do them and top guys never look strong.

Hell yes, but it's really not much of a hurdle. Current WWE is a masturbation toy for a senile billionaire more than it's a legit wrestling company.

I have really enjoyed the way AEW has hit all the full-stadium, high production value notes only the WWE has had for the last couple of decades, but done so without all repetitive, predictable, wrestling-hating bullshit WWE brings with it. It's still the beginning and their roster is still so weak compared to the WWE's, but it's nice to see. Plus I've really enjoyed how they've made sure every time a name is featured he's bringing new guys up with him, it makes AEW feel like a promotion that has a future and is worth following.
